No legal obligation to wear face masks in public places
Wearing of face masks remains compulsory in the following places: hospitals, private clinics, pharmacies, private medical institutions (dentists and other health care providers), nursing homes, institutions for handicapped people, passengers’ terminals (port and airport), public transport including taxis,
Wearing of face masks is recommended for: people of 60 years old or more, vulnerable people with comorbidities, people with symptoms like respiratory disorders, fever and cough, in busy closed areas and gatherings.
The following activities are now authorized without any restriction regarding the number of people present: public and private gatherings including weddings and funerals, sports centres, gyms, kindergartens, public gardens, fitness paths, bars, nightclubs, sports competitions, concerts, socio-cultural activities, places of worship, reception halls, village hall, community centres, individual and collective sports, horse races, beaches (picnics are allowed), events and gatherings in hotels.
Important note: The wearing of face masks, the ventilation of confined spaces and the use of hydroalcoholic gel remain highly recommended.
